Served in Company I of 155th PA Volunteers, (Maltese Cross). Mustered in Nov. 12, 1863. Killed at Hatchers Run (Dabney's Mill), VA on Feb. 6, 1865. Dabney's Mill was part of the Petersburg Campaign fought between June 1864 and April 1865. Page 317 of "The Last Citadel" confirms fighting took place on this day under the direction of Maj. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren's Fifth Army Corps, a part of the Union's Army of the Potomac.
