    • Harry I. Culbert, a young man not more than twenty-eight years old, employed at W.P. Eyre's flour and feed store, died at his home on Providence avenue, at an early hour this morning from yyphoid-pneumonia.  Mr. Culbert was a large, healthy-looking yound man, whose every appearance indicated a long lease of life, and that he should be cut down so early surprises many.  He has been sick less than two weeks.

    • Harry I. Culbert, the young man who died Thursday morning, in the North ward, from typhoid-pneumonia, mention of which was made in these columns at the day he died, was well and favorably known by a large circle of our citizens, and his seemingly untimely death was mourned by many friends.  He was born at Sneath's corner, learned the carpenter's trade and worked at various places in this county.  A strange chain of coincidences are connected with his demise.  His death occurred on his twenty-eighth birthday at the same hour of the morning he was born, and at the side of his death bed stood the same doctor who was present at his birth.

This bible was last in the possession of Anne Culbert Bourne Schulz, and was lost after her death. What remains are photocopies of two pages showing marriages, births, deaths, and memorandums. According to Anne, the bible was given by Moses to his daughter Hannah in 1839. The original entries in the bible are likely to be Hannah's. The significance of the margin note is not known.

    • Irvin is not a family connection known for this Culbert branch. Could it be a family connection from Ireland? [11]
