"Martin F. Culbert, Retired Business Man, Stricken at Sea. When the Comanche of the Clyde Line arrived yesterday at Pier 37, North River, from Jacksonville, Fla., the purser reported that Martin F. Culbert, 70 years old, of 375[?] South Huntington Street, Jamaica Plain, Mass., had died that morning when the ship was passing Barnegat. About 3 A.M. the steward found Mr. Culbert sitting in his cabin in a semi-conscious condition. Restoratives were administered without effect. James J. Culbert, of Roxbury, Mass., a nephew, was notified by wireless of the death of his uncle and met the Comanche on arrival. He said that Mr. Culbert had retired from business some time ago. The body will be sent to Jamaica Plain today for interment."
